THE IOT ALLIANCE NETWORK SEEKS TO ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT THE ESTABLISHMENT OF LOCAL IOTA NETWORKS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD
We believe that the measures of success for any local IoTA network should include:
Creation of new IoT companies
The number of start-up companies with an IoT component to their strategy established within a local networks territory. Of course these need to be companies with a connection to the network.
Number of events
The total number and frequency of events, physical and virtual, and the level of participation in terms of individuals and companies.
Creation of go-to-market alliances
The number of joint bids, or product offerings, put together by members of the local network.
Co-ordination of activities… “great” should be “greater”
The total number and frequency of joint events, or other collaborative activities, where a local network works with others in the IoTA.
The IoTA Network and local networks should seek sponsorship from local entities to cover the costs of the events (venue, refreshments etc.) in return for which sponsors branding may appear on event promotional materials. The sponsorship should not entitle the sponsor to any favourable positioning of their products and services, nor should it imply IoTA endorsement of any products or service.
